The Grand Gedeh Technical Committee for the Putu Mining Mineral Development Agreement says time is needed to make informed decision on the agreement.
The Technical Committee has issued a statement calling on all Grand Gedeans to turn out in mass to appeal to the county’s caucus to advocate for more time.
The Secretary General of the group Madison Gwion read the statement on behalf of the Grand Gedeh Technical Committee.
The statement was triggered by report that the House would on Tuesday conduct hearing into the agreement between government and the Putu Iron Ore Mining Inc.
The House said the hearing will focus on the economic and social benefits of the agreement, but Grand Gedeans said a period of review was necessary.
