Pres. Sirleaf begins discussion at Afro-Arab Summit – Star Radio Liberia

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has begun holding discussions with world leaders ahead of the Afro-Arab Summit in Libya.

President Sirleaf upon arrival in Libya held a tet-a-tete with Libyan Leader Muhamar Ghadafi in the City of Sirte.

Our reporter traveling with President Sirleaf said the details of the two leaders’ discussion have not been released.

According to our reporter, the discussion is believed to have centered on a number of Libyan sponsored projects in Liberia.

The Afro-Arab Summit is expected to end Sunday in President Ghadafi’s home town of Sirte.

The Summit will discuss trade and investment between Africa and the Arab world.

Our reporter gathered the crises in Sudan and Somalia are likely to form part of the agenda.
Meanwhile, a meeting of Foreign Ministers has taken place in Libya with a focus on strengthening diplomatic ties among the countries.
