The local aide camp to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in Sinoe County has been suspended for time indefinite.
Brigadier General Manneh Manneh was suspended on September 29 for failure to report on the registration of arms in the county.
Our correspondent says General Manneh was mandated to register single barrel guns in the county.
In a letter of suspension, President Sirleaf’s senior aide camp Major General Jerry Hinneh said General Manneh failed to report on the number of arms registered and money received from it.
Major General Hinneh also requested the office of Superintendent Milton Teahjay to make available information on the registration of arms in Sinoe County.
Meanwhile General Manneh has condemned the suspension saying he will not honor it unless it comes directly from President Sirleaf.
Mr. Manneh told Star Radio, as far as he is concerned, funds from the registration of guns in the county are to be used by his office.
He disclosed about two hundred single barrels guns have been registered but said some registration payments are yet to come.
