Normal activities have come to a standstill in Bong Mines, Fuamah District, Bong County.

Residents of the former mining town are protesting the mysterious disappearance of seventeen year old Alice Pumudu.

According to the Pastor of the Second Assemblies of God Church, the residents set up road blocks, a situation that caused business centers to close their doors early.

Pastor Elijah Harlee told Star Radio the protest also caused schools and market places to shut down for the day.

He said the police and citizens of Bong Mines Monday conducted a house-to-house search for the missing girl but she could not be found anywhere in the town.

The Pastor of the Second Assemblies of God Church said the residents have resolved to halt all activates in Fuamah until Alice Pumudu is found.

Pastor Harlee said the disappearance of the girl was worrisome and sends a bad signal about the area.

Alice Pumudu has been missing for the past two weeks.
