Cllr. Gongloe on Tuesday criticized the Liberian Leader for sending almost her entire cabinet on administrative leave something he described as collective guilt.
But President Sirleaf in response said she accepts the views of the legal-minded Minister and considers them part of the tenants of democracy.
Madam Sirleaf said she was not prepared to critique any aspect of Cllr. Gonglo’s statement and will not also take up issues with him.
Madam Sirleaf cited the days when she herself was in opposition criticizing the ills of society which made her bitter with past governments.
She spoke Thursday during an interactive forum with students of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University in Monrovia.
During the interaction, President Sirleaf reviewed a series of progress her government has made since she ascended to the presidency in 2006.
She made reference to the poverty reduction strategy which she said was achieved at a high level but said much needs to be done.
